AwardClaw in the Zed editor

Zed calls MCP servers context servers and supports remote ones with a URL and headers. Add AwardClaw and Zed's agent can query live award space from the agent panel.

Set it up

1In AwardClaw (Pro+), open Agents, tap Connect an agent, pick this app and choose what it may do. Copy the key it shows.
2Open Zed settings (zed: open settings file) or Settings, then AI, then MCP Servers, then Add Remote Server.
3Add the block below with your key in place of the placeholder.
4Open the agent panel and check that awardclaw's tools are available.

Keep the Authorization header set. Without it, Zed tries an OAuth sign-in, which AwardClaw doesn't use.

search_drops

Live saver drops in business and first, ranked by quality, with open dates, miles, taxes and booking links. Defaults to your tracked cities.

Read-only on award data. Zed never sees airline logins or points balances, and every date links to the program's own site to book.

One key per tool. Revoke any key in AwardClaw and that connection stops at once.

Zed questions

Where does my key go?+

In an Authorization: Bearer header, so it never appears in a URL or a log line. You can create a separate key for each tool and revoke any of them on its own.

What is a context server?+

Zed's name for an MCP server. Remote context servers are reached over HTTPS, like AwardClaw.

Which models can use it?+

Any model you use in Zed's agent panel that supports tool calls.
