How to book Singapore Suites on miles

Singapore Airlines prices Suites awards (called "Saver Suites" in the KrisFlyer chart) at 130,000 KrisFlyer miles one-way US to Singapore on the A380 — the longest-haul Suites routes (EWR-FRA-SIN, JFK-FRA-SIN, LAX-SIN, SFO-SIN). Round-trip is 260,000 miles. Advantage Awards (the higher-priced tier with much wider availability) are 234,500 miles one-way. The catch: Saver Suites availability is rare. Singapore historically releases only 1–2 Saver seats per flight at most, and they go almost instantly. AwardClaw tracks every drop on these high-demand routes.

AwardClaw scans Singapore KrisFlyer every three hours for saver first-class space on Singapore Suites (A380). We filter to direct flights, 2+ seats, and a 30–355 day booking window — so what you see above is actually bookable inventory, not theoretical availability. When new seats appear, subscribers tracking the matching origin get an email alert.

Frequently asked

How many KrisFlyer miles for Singapore Suites?
Can I book Singapore Suites with partner miles?
No — and this is the single most important fact about Suites awards. Singapore Airlines does not release Suites inventory to any partner program. Even Star Alliance partners like United MileagePlus or Aeroplan, and major transferable currencies, cannot book Suites — they can book Singapore business and First (on aircraft without Suites) on a few routes, but the A380 Suites cabin is locked to KrisFlyer members only. The only way to fly Singapore Suites on miles is to earn or transfer points to KrisFlyer directly.
When does Singapore release Suites awards?
Singapore loads its initial Saver Suites inventory roughly 355 days before departure, typically 1–2 seats per A380 flight. Inventory also opens in smaller waves 14, 7, and 3 days before departure as unsold cash inventory gets converted to award space. The best windows are right at the 355-day mark (have your KrisFlyer account funded before the date opens) and the 7–14 day pre-departure window for last-minute trips. Saver Suites on US routes (EWR/JFK/LAX/SFO–SIN) are rarest; consider routing via Frankfurt for slightly better odds.
How does AwardClaw track Singapore Suites?
We scan Singapore KrisFlyer directly every three hours via the seats.aero partner API. Any First Class result on an SQ-operated A380 flight (the only aircraft with Suites) gets surfaced here. Filters: saver pricing, 2+ seats, direct flights. Because Saver Suites is rare, we recommend Pro subscribers track Suites-eligible origins (EWR, JFK, LAX, SFO) and get email alerts the moment new inventory hits — typically inside 5 minutes of the drop.
What is the Singapore Suites experience like?
Singapore Suites is widely considered the best First Class product in the world. The new 2017+ A380 Suites are massive enclosed private rooms with a separate leather armchair and a queen-size bed (when the swivel armchair is reclined and combined with a separate fold-out bed). Two adjacent center suites can be combined into a "honeymoon suite" with a double bed. Dining is on-demand — multi-course Western, Singaporean, or your Book the Cook pre-order — paired with Krug and Dom Pérignon. Ground service includes the Singapore Airlines Suites Lounge at Changi Terminal 3.
What taxes and fees apply?
KrisFlyer passes through some carrier-imposed surcharges. On a typical US-Singapore Suites award, expect around $250–$350 in YQ and government taxes one-way, or $500–$700 round-trip. Singapore (SIN) charges a $35 departure tax. US-origin awards have $5.60 in TSA tax. Routes via Frankfurt also pick up German departure/transit taxes. Total cash out is meaningfully higher than other premium awards (Aeroplan, Alaska, AAdvantage) but still trivial relative to the cash value of a Suites seat ($15,000–$25,000).
Which credit cards transfer to KrisFlyer?
Singapore KrisFlyer accepts 1:1 transfers from Chase Ultimate Rewards, Amex Membership Rewards, Citi ThankYou Points, and Capital One Miles — the only major airline program that takes all four. Bilt and Marriott Bonvoy also transfer (Marriott at 3:1 with 5K bonus per 60K). Amex runs KrisFlyer transfer bonuses 2–3 times per year (typically 15–25%). The most efficient path to a US-SIN Suites one-way (130K KrisFlyer): build 130K MR, watch for a 25% transfer bonus, then transfer ~104K MR to get 130K KrisFlyer. KrisFlyer miles expire after 3 years with no extension options, so don't hoard them — transfer just-in-time once you find space.
