Dots are ChatGPT's always-on agents: they keep their own memory and goals and work while you are away. With the AwardClaw plugin, a dot can check your routes every morning, compare programs and message you when a seat worth booking shows up.

Set it up

1In AwardClaw (Pro+), open Agents, tap Connect an agent, pick this app and choose what it may do. Copy the connector URL it shows.
2Add AwardClaw to ChatGPT as a custom MCP plugin (developer mode, Plugins, Add custom MCP server). The ChatGPT guide has each step.
3Open your dot and give it access to the AwardClaw plugin.
4Tell the dot what to watch, for example: "Every morning, check business class from SFO to Tokyo for April and tell me if anything is under 75k."

Dots are rolling out gradually. If your account doesn't have them yet, the plugin still works in regular ChatGPT chats.
AwardClaw trip watches also email you directly, so a dot is optional for simple alerts. Dots shine when you want judgment: comparing programs, dates and transfer partners for you.
The connector URL contains your key. Treat it like a password and revoke the key in AwardClaw if it ever leaks.

What is a ChatGPT dot?+

An always-on agent inside ChatGPT, launched in September 2026. Each dot keeps its own memory and goals between conversations and can use ChatGPT plugins such as AwardClaw while it works.

How often can my dot check award space?+

As often as you like within your daily limit of 1,000 requests. Routes are rescanned several times a day, so checking more than hourly rarely finds anything new.

Should I use a dot or an AwardClaw trip watch?+

A trip watch emails you the moment your exact dates open. A dot is better when you want it to weigh options: several routes, flexible dates, or which points to use.
