AwardClaw in Windsurf

Windsurf's Cascade agent connects to remote MCP servers listed in mcp_config.json. Add AwardClaw with a serverUrl and a header, and Cascade can pull live award space into whatever you are building.

Set it up

1In AwardClaw (Pro+), open Agents, tap Connect an agent, pick this app and choose what it may do. Copy the key it shows.
2Export your key: export AWARDCLAW_KEY=ac_live_...
3Open ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json (Windsurf Settings, then MCP, then the raw config) and add the block below.
4Refresh the MCP list in Cascade and check that awardclaw is connected.

Windsurf fills in ${env:AWARDCLAW_KEY} from your environment, so the key stays out of the file.

Where does my key go?+

In an Authorization: Bearer header, so it never appears in a URL or a log line. You can create a separate key for each tool and revoke any of them on its own.

serverUrl or url?+

Windsurf uses serverUrl for remote servers. AwardClaw speaks Streamable HTTP at /api/mcp, which Windsurf supports.

Does it count against Cascade credits?+

Tool calls are part of your normal Cascade usage. On the AwardClaw side, Pro+ includes 1,000 requests a day.
