Award availability follows patterns. Airlines tend to release saver seats at similar times of year, on similar routes, and through the same booking programs. By studying past drops, you can predict when future availability might appear on your target route and have your points ready to book quickly.
For example, ANA business class via Virgin Atlantic tends to open 330+ days in advance, while American Airlines releases partner availability in waves closer to departure. Routes to Japan and Europe see the most consistent saver availability, while premium cabin awards to Australia and the Maldives are rarer and shorter-lived.
Each archived drop shows the route, cabin class, approximate mileage cost, how many dates were available, and how long the availability lasted before being booked or pulled. Use this data to set realistic expectations about how quickly you need to act when a drop appears on a route you care about.
